Online Flu Vouchers made easy

Getting an annual flu shot serves as your best line of defence against influenza. The flu affects a patient’s respiratory system and can cause all kinds of uncomfortable symptoms, including sneezing, coughing, headaches, lethargy, runny nose, chills, muscle aches and fever. Organising a corporate flu vaccination program helps reducing employee absenteeism and people getting sick from the influenza virus.

Did you know that you may be able to get a flu voucher if you’re unable to attend your workplace flu vaccination program? Flu jabs from well-trained community pharmacists are now widely available. Employees can redeem our flu vouchers at any of our 850 chemist partners in Australia, or from over 200 participating chemists if you’re in New Zealand.

It’s worthy to note that different strains of influenza emerge every year, and being up-to-date on your immunisation means you’re more protected against these continuously mutating viruses.

Since winter is considered ‘flu season’, it’s best to get your flu shots in autumn. It is recommended that everyone above six months old should get the flu jab. It’s free for those who carry a higher risk of having complications under the National Immunisation Program.

  • Pregnant women
  • Elderly
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  • Those with pre-existing conditions, e.g., impaired immunity, chronic lung conditions, severe asthma, heart disease, patients who experienced a chronic illness during the past year.
  • Children between six months to ten years who have been on aspirin therapy for a length of time are also at risk of complications.

The flu vaccine may present mild side effects, such as low-grade fever, muscle aches, redness, soreness or a small swelling and pain where the shot was administered, but it should disappear in just a few days. See your local doctor if the effects persist or have any concerns.

Individuals not covered by the NIP may be able to get a flu shot at work or get a flu voucher as part of their employee flu vaccination program.

You can get your influenza vaccination voucher from us and redeem it at any of our Australian and New Zealand flu chemist partners. Find your nearest partner here and stay protected.
